AZ Hollink

Dieter Spillebeen set up his business in 1999 by merging two existing businesses together. And so, AZ Hollink was established as a supplier of mechanical power transmission components. Couplings, gearboxes, brakes: Apeldoorn-based company AZ Hollink delivers them in all shapes, sizes and brands. When AZ Hollink was linked as an import dealer for the German premium brand RENK, business took off. The company grew and expanded its range to couplings and gearboxes from other manufacturers.

RENK dealer

RENK AG's origins date back to 1873 when Johann Julius Renk set up a small mechanical workspace for the automated production of gears in Augsburg, Germany.

Today, RENK is a leading supplier of premium power transmission components for a wide range of applications for the global market. Large manufacturing plants (subsidiaries) are located in Augsburg, Rheine and Hannover. RENK is considered the 'Rolls Royce' of the branch and is renowned for the long lifespan of its products (50 years is no exception) and the resulting low cost of ownership.

In Apeldoorn, nine staff serve approximately 1,000 customers in the Benelux, France and Africa. Our customers are active in various branches, such as offshore, petrochemical, transport, aviation, mining and the paper, steel and recycling industry. Many products are quickly delivered from the extensive product range in Apeldoorn and Germany.

Occasionally specific clients have questions about a brake or coupling. AZ Hollink provides advice and works with the client at the engineering or product management levels, often developing customised solutions for its clients. One recent example involved a company that wanted to design lifts that could travel very quickly down the side of a skyscraper in emergency situations. In instances like these, AZ Hollink is the perfect partner for developing and supplying the right brakes for the job.

The future

AZ Hollink is a fast-growing company, and this growth is expected to continue in the coming years. The aim is to expand our business to twice its size over the next four years. This growth comes from the sale of new products and, more recently, from the revision of existing installations. AZ Hollink also has an office in South Africa that serves our customers, mostly mining companies, in the Sub-Saharan region.
