Truckcenter Apeldoorn

In 1988 Wil Krommenhoek set up a company for international trade in used vehicles on the Veenweg in Apeldoorn. Spoorzicht. Since 2010 his son Sander has also been involved in the business, which has continued under the name Truckcenter Apeldoorn.

Worldwide internet sales

Truckcenter Apeldoorn specializes in international trade in used trucks, trailers, machines and commercial vehicles. Approximately 250 used vehicles are sold on an annual basis. On average, there are 60 to 70 trucks and trailers in stock at any one time. In addition, there are always vans, tractors, tippers, container systems or crane trucks available too.  Sander: "We acquire many used vehicles from the Netherlands, Germany and Scandinavia. In these countries the vehicles are always well maintained. We are constantly on the lookout for specialized trucks, the more unusual the better. There is less competition than for a standard truck.

“Where necessary, we carry out maintenance ourselves or bring in specialists. We sell globally, both to regular clients and customers looking for means of transport ad hoc. Many customers find Truckcenter via the internet and we also make intensive use of WhatsApp. On request, we send potential customers a wide selection of photos and videos of the truck they are interested in. If they are serious, they often come along personally to take a look. We receive buyers from all over the world in Apeldoorn. More than 90% of our turnover comes from overseas.”

Reputation

Sander knows like no other how important a good reputation is: "We attach great value to our name because there are cowboys in our industry, unfortunately. Our years of experience, plus the fact that we are very transparent, creates trust in the market. Word-of-mouth advertising then does the rest. Our customers are our best salesmen."  After a sale, the buyers themselves arrange transportation or Truckcentre Apeldoorn sees to everything from A to Z.  Truckcenter Apeldoorn has been approved by the Netherlands Vehicle Authority, RDW, and can quickly arrange all the necessary documents for export. It can also use its own low loader if material has to be transported quickly.
