REA BV

REA was established in 1949 by two business partners, Van der Reydt and Adelerhof. They started out with the production of painting supplies such as paint scrapers and putty knives. Later, Piet took over the company and his grandson, Jitse Rosema, runs the business today. Their assortment has grown over the years to a full range of non-paint products for the painting and flooring industries.

Relations instead of customers

That is this great family business’ slogan. What binds them to their relations is a common goal: working with high-quality products to facilitate the painting and flooring of spaces with excellent results. Over the years, the company has developed a network of reliable partner suppliers in the Netherlands and neighbouring countries for the development, supply and delivery of quality products.

Lambswool rollers are a house speciality. The assortment is extensive, both in terms of application and roller width, ranging from 2 to 70 centimetres wide. Jitse: “Each roller has its own specific characteristics, and our team knows exactly which type of roller best matches which paint or floor. In our showroom, we gladly invite our relations to visit and consult them on the best solutions. A fine example is the Professional + Plus Fleece Roller that we have developed together with TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research). This roller has an increased absorption capacity of more than 30% compared to traditional rollers. Painters can work faster with these rollers. Besides working faster, working better is also crucial. This applies to the final result: a cleaner finish without lint or fuzz, but ergonomics also play a significant role. With a better grip, for example, issues such as blisters on hands can be prevented.

Internationally active

REA BV’s products are sold to about 500 painting and flooring businesses and shops throughout the Netherlands. The focus on quality ensures long-term relationships with customers. Jitse: “Once they have worked with our products, they don’t want anything else. This is also the reason why we have many relations from outside the Netherlands.  We expect to grow in this respect in the coming years.”
